Gaining insights in your stakeholder network, including the relationships

STAKES

Stakes is a tool designed for businesses, especially the hybrid ones, to reveal all relevant stakeholders and the relations between all. This provides more insights on how current stakeholders influences a business allowing them to take actions to work towards the companies mission. Furthermore, the tool enables businesses and investors to explore how they might influence the current relationships with stakeholders.

The process

This project focused on creating designs that support social innovations. During this project, we developed a method to reveal all relevant users and stakeholders of hybrid ventures and their relations with each other. Furthermore, the tool shows how investors can influence the hybrid venture.

We went through 4 iterations in which embodiment en deconstruction played a critical role. The first prototype was a board, the second consisted of pillars while the latter two used floor projections.  During the latest two iterations, start-ups connected to the TU/e participated to test the tool.Using the embodiment method allows quick iterations and supports conversations, which is important to understand each other's perspectives. I used this method during my graduation project as well, in the workshop with my client. This provided fruitful insights. The deconstruction method is relevant to unravel how complex value flows work or could be adapted.
